Another Philadelphia folk festival preview show, among other things. Turns out, the Lost Ramblers, our local bluegrass/old-timey institution, is have a CD release party at the Deerhead Inn, Delaware Water Gap (off Exit 53, Rte 80), on Sunday evening, August 27. So I had to devote the closing part of the show to them and, of course, to the Juggernaut String Band, who'll be playing on the Friday afternoon concert stage at Philly that weekend. Small world -- the Lost Ramblers even have Tony DeMarco, of Flying Cloud fame, sitting in on fiddle with them. And then there's this young Colorado band, Yonder Mtn, I heard down at Musikfest last week.... Music coming out of yer ears -- great escape from a cloudy afternoon in the Poconos.
