Rich Warren has, of course, something to what he says. For this program, I had to go up to the Vinyl Vault -- a rented storage space where I keep the LPs, next to the one where Jamie keeps her paintings -- and retrieve The Red Clay Ramblers' *Meeting in the Air* (FF, 1980), which never made it to CD, and Judy Collins, *Whales & Nightingales* (Elektra, n.d., which may have done so but I don't have it), to start out this show, for Jamie's Uncle George, who died a week last Wednesday at age 93, so no show last week, oh well. Uncle George used to have a large rose garden, which would stop people on their way down the street to the Bloomsburg Fair, and we did send a large wreath of roses to the funeral home, which the song says is belatedly. And I was also thinking about an old friend, Tommy Thompson of the Red Clay Ramblers, still alive but living in the shade of early Altzheimers. And then my mother used to sing "Beautiful Isle of Somewhere," from a Jo Stafford album, in Glasgow. Thought somebody might pass the word to Geoff Muldaur, with thanks. So:
